Due to questions regarding the letter of intent for current WEA Affiliates to obtain Accredited-Provisional status, we have extended the deadline for submission to February 28, 2010.
ALL CURRENT WEA AFFILIATES THAT WOULD LIKE TO BE GRANDFATHERED INTO ACCREDITED-PROVISIONAL STATUS SHOULD COMPLETE THIS FORM OR SUBMIT A LETTER TO THE WEA NATIONAL OFFICE CONTAINING THE BELOW INFORMATION NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 28, 2010.
The Press Release distributed in December of 2009 that describes the requirements for grandfathering into Accredited-Provisional status is available here.
Below you will be able to choose from one of four options:
- Steward Accredited - Provisional
- Outdoor Leader Accredited - Provisional
- Outdoor Leader Instructor Accredited - Provisional
- Organizational Member
All current WEA Affiliates were assigned a timeline for submission of the Preliminary Accreditation Application and the Self Study. If a current Affiliate does not meet the requirement(s) for obtaining Provisional Status, they have the opportunity to become an Organizational Member of the WEA and to hold their scheduled Self Study Submission Date.
Once your form submission or letter is received and the content verified by the WEA National Office you will be invoiced for the approved Accredited - Provisional status. Payment is due no later than June If the content of the application cannot be verified by the National Office provisional status may be withheld at the discretion of the Executive Director.
