WEA is on facebook!

 

The Wilderness Education Association is now on Facebook!  Facebook used to just be an online networking site for college students.  It has evolved into a global communication tool with over 200 million users across the globe. 

 

Simply type in "Wilderness Education Association" in the search bar when you are logged into facebook and you will find the official WEA fan page.  Become a fan today, post the fan page on your profile and invite your friends to join!

 

 

As a 501(c)3 the WEA is also newly listed as a Cause on facebook.  You might have seen Leave No Trace, the Access Fund, American Whitewater, ACA and other outdoor organizations, now you can add WEA to your cause list and recruit your friends to do the same!  The Cause application is not just an awareness mechanism, but also a fundraising tool where individuals can recruit supporters, make donations and work as fundraisers through pledging.  Over the next couple of years, this program could have a very positive impact on the association if we are able to reach out to the community effectively.   

 

It is exciting for the WEA to be reaching out to the public through facebook to keep our community connections strong.  We want as many current and past members to join us on facebook as possible.  Facebook is all about creating connections and that is exactly what we are looking to do.
