This workshop will provide an overview of the WEA Accreditation program and the self study process.
Topics include:
the development of your institutional portfolio,
the self-study, and
various evaluative strategies that can be used to enhance program effectiveness.
Organizational representatives are encouraged to attend this workshop prior to the submission of the self-study.
We are offering this workshop free of charge, but we do request that you register for this workshop in advance. Donations in lieu of a registration fee will be accepted for thos that wish to support the accreditation program and this workshop.
Dr. Pelchat is a professor at Ithaca College where they offer a Outdoor Adventure Leadership degree. He obtained his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Idaho where his researched focused on Critica Action Research as it relates to curriculum development. Dr. Pelchat spent five years as the President of the Wilderness Education Association and is now theAccreditation Council Chair.
